AQM Copper Inc., a Canadian-based copper exploration company, is lead by an experienced management team of experts in Exploration, Geology, Metallurgy, Mine Engineering, Law and Finance. The management and directors have extensive experience working with the world's largest mining companies as well as several mining juniors.

Bruce L. Turner
President and CEO

Bruce Turner brings a wealth of operating, technical and management experience from over 35 years of development and production experience in the mining industry. Mr. Turner's industry achievements include:
  • Former President of BHP Billiton's Escondida copper mine - the world's largest copper mine in Northern Chile.
  • Mr. Turner holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mining Engineering (1974) from the University of British Columbia and a Doctor of Technology (Honorary Degree) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has also completed the Advanced Management Course at Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
Cesar Lopez, LL.M.
Vice President of Legal, Business Development and Corporate Affairs

Cesar Lopez, LL.M., is a partner of Lopez & Ashton, a firm which provides legal, accounting, and business platform services for clients within the natural resources sectors in Chile.
  • Served as legal counsel, advisor, representative, and director for both Chilean and foreign companies, specializing in the natural resources and financial sectors
  • Founder of Centenario Copper Corp. (TSX:CCT), purchased by Quadra in 2009
  • Master of International Law degree (LL.M) from Golden Gate University

Winnie Wong is currently CFO and Corporate Secretary for both publicly traded and private companies.
  • Currently VP of Pacific Opportunity Capital Ltd (POC), a financial and management advisory firm
  • Received her CA working with Deloitte & Touche, Chartered Accountants, between 1996 and 1999
  • Received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen's University in 1996
Thomas Henricksen, Geologist PhD
Consultant Geologist

Thomas Henricksen brings to the company over 33 years of mineral exploration experience.
  • Chief Geologist for Norsemont Mining Inc., initiating and managing the exploration of the Constancia porphyry copper deposit
  • In 2005 he recommended to Centenario Copper the acquisition of the Pelusa Project which awaits production
  • Consultant geologist for Rio Tinto, successfully discovering significant borate deposits in southern Bolivia
  • PhD in Economic Geology from Oregon State University
  • 1991 AIME Engineer of the Year, Columbia Section
Alvaro Fernandez Baca

Alvaro Fernandez Baca is a Peruvian and holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology (1996) from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

  • 13 years of experience in exploration in Peru
  • Former General Manager for Gitennes Exploration, Inc.
  • Head of exploration for Entrée Gold Inc.'s Shivo Tolgoy project in Mongolia
Stephanie Ashton, MBA
Chief Financial Officer

Stephanie Ashton, MBA, is a partner of Lopez & Ashton, a firm which provides legal, accounting, and business platform services for clients within the natural resources sectors in Chile.
  • Mrs. Ashton has over 25 years of work experience in management consulting and auditing for multinational companies in Europe, North America and South America
  • Since 1995, she has focused on providing consulting and management services to foreign mining companies operating in Latin America
  • Mrs. Ashton earned an MBA in International Legal & Tax Strategy from Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Paris, France (HEC) after completing a B.Sc. in International Business
